Food waste accounts for approximately 30% of Hong Kong’s municipal solid waste. New Life Cycle has long been committed to addressing this issue by actively promoting diverse "Food Wise" educational activities. We aim to enhance public environmental awareness and join hands with the community to reduce food waste in Hong Kong.
New Life Cycle implemented a one-year Community Education Program on Food Waste Recycling across 23 public housing estates in Tsuen Wan, Kwai Tsing, and Sham Shui Po. Through diverse activities, the program enhanced residents' understanding and participation in food waste recycling, successfully fostering long-term recycling habits within these public housing communities.
