The closing ceremony for the Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF) Smart Food Waste Recycling Education Scheme in Public Housing (PRH) Estates was successfully held on July 18, 2025. This initiative spanned 23 public housing estates across the Tsuen Wan, Kwai Tsing, and Sham Shui Po districts. Through diverse educational and promotional activities, the scheme encouraged residents to correctly utilize Smart Food Waste Bin technology, reduce food waste, and cultivate long-term environmental habits.

We were honored to have Mr. Kenneth TONG Lok-kan, Senior Environmental Protection Officer of the EPD, as our officiating guest. The ceremony was also attended by District Councilors, representatives from Property Services Offices, and our Food Waste Education Ambassadors to witness the project's achievements. During the event, certificates of appreciation were presented to the ambassadors for their dedication to community outreach, as well as to District Councilors and Property Services Office representatives for their vital support in promotion and venue coordination.

We hope this project has empowered more residents to adopt consistent food waste recycling habits. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with all sectors of the community to drive waste reduction and build a more sustainable, green Hong Kong.
